issue resolved... and a new address.

For those of you who heard my cry for help last week I'm happy to announce my issues with the custom domain are over! yeah! After letting it "rest" for a few days I tried again and it finally worked... which means Winder and Main can now be found at www.winderandmain.com instead of my old blog address www.littleblueprints.blogspot.com. Makes much more sense now doesn't it? Don't worry, the old address will still redirect you to the new one so there's no need to update your reader. I'm just glad my address corresponds with my blog name now.

Now if we can only figure out where we will be calling home in less than 2 weeks! I'll probably be a bit absent over the next few weeks with the move and scrambling to find a home, but I'll try to chime in whenever possible! If you are still in summer mode enjoy your last few days/weeks, if you're in back to school mode enjoy your new morning schedules! We start school tomorrow, one off to 1st grade and another off to pre-k... where does the time go?

HELP NEEDED!!!!

Have any of you created a custom name domain for your blog? As in your web address would not have .blogspot.com after your url? it would simply say winderandmain.com instead?  I tried setting this up yesterday but after I put in my credit card info and pressed next a blank page came up. I waited thinking it had to load something but nothing came up. I tried it again and now after the step where I agree to the terms of service it tells me:  We found an existing order for this domain. Please contact support.

Has anyone else come across this problem? Where do I view my order and how do I contact support? The only support I find is a forum so unless someone sees my post and knows the answer I will get nothing! So frustrating and not what I need right now! Did I tell you we're moving? Yeah we have to be out of this house in 2 1/2 weeks and we don't even have another house lined up yet! It will all depend on the job my husband is interviewing for. If he gets it we will need to live somewhere completely different than if he stays with his current company. Talk about stress! My house looks like a a tornado came through, there are boxes everywhere and piles of things throughout! And don't even get me started on schools. School is in on Monday around here and I have no idea where they are going to go! ARRRRRR!

Thanks for letting me vent! And if you know how to fix my blog issue please please please let me know!!!!

Hope you're having a less frustrating time right now!

sister's stairway gallery wall & cheap art..

For my sister's stairway walls I imagined a large art gallery of different bird paintings. We ordered 2 clearance calendars about birds, however only one ended up coming. The other got discontinued so we weren't able to add as many pictures as I was imagining, but it's always something that can grow over time.

I love using calendars as art. It's a cheap way to get some good looking art for your home. Her frames are all from the Pottery Barn gallery collection in white. And apparently I love making art galleries of birds since this is the second one, you can see the first one here.

Is that enough pictures of a stairway for you? I can picture many many more birds on the wall over time. How about you? This calendar came from calendars.com. Around summer time they put all of their current year calendars on major sale so you can score them as low as $3 sometimes! Not bad when you get 12 pictures for a gallery wall. Just make sure you place your order quickly or the calendar you want may run out and you're stuck with only one when you really needed 2 at least!
